TRAVEL TIPS FOR VISITING THE CITY
- Can our team assist with setting up a room block for groups using the meeting space?Can our team assist with setting up a room block for groups using the meeting space? Absolutely! Our sales team can assist with all functionality of the meeting space needs, as well as setting up a group room block for attendee accommodations. Once an agreement is in place, our sales team can send over a booking link that connects directly to the group block at our 2 hotels.
- Is the hotel directly connected to the meeting and event space?Is the hotel directly connected to the meeting and event space? Yes, Sterling Hall is directly connected to our Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Charleston Historic District with accessibility under the same roof.
- Do we receive an extra discount on guest accommodations if we book our meeting or event through Sterling Hall?Do we receive an extra discount on guest accommodations if we book our meeting or event through Sterling Hall? Booking a group room block at our Hyatt Place or Hyatt House Charleston Historic District provides a group discounted rate, automatically. Booking the meeting or event space does not provide an ‘extra' discount on sleeping rooms on top of that discounted group rate.

Directly attached to Sterling Hall is a Hyatt hybrid property containing both Hyatt House (apartment style accommodations) and Hyatt Place (typical hotel room accommodations) all under the same roof.
- Does Sterling Hall provide catering services or are we allowed to bring in our own food and beverage?Does Sterling Hall provide catering services or are we allowed to bring in our own food and beverage? Our Sterling Hall Banquet and Catering team will work directly with you on your food and beverage needs. We provide a vast menu with options ranging from a delicious and simple buffet to chef inspired carving and food stations and multi-course sit down serviced meals. Sterling Hall does not allow outside food and beverage.
- Does Sterling Hall have a restaurant attached to it? Does Sterling Hall have a restaurant attached to it? While Sterling Hall does not have a restaurant, we do have Pour Taproom- Charleston's highest roof top bar and grill- on the hotel side of the building but this is also directly connected to Sterling Hall and can be rented out for private events.

Sterling Hall is located in the Upper King Street district of Historic Downtown Charleston with plenty of walkable shops, restaurants and nightlife venues across the street and / or around the corner. This is about 1 mile from Charleston City Market (central downtown) but there is a complimentary downtown shuttle stop right across the street from us.

Absolutely- we would be delighted to point you in the right direction for any off-site activities such as team building, group dining, leisure group entertainment, etc. We always utilize the wonderful services of Explore Charleston- Charleston's CVB- who are experts on everything Charleston.
- How do we get to Sterling Hall?How do we get to Sterling Hall? While we do not offer airport or area shuttle services, we can assist with recommendations for either single or group transportation.
- Where do we park at Sterling Hall?Where do we park at Sterling Hall? There is a city-owned parking garage right here on the same grounds as Sterling Hall- located just across the courtyard entrance. If guests are coming in to attend an Event or Meeting at Sterling Hall and they are also staying with us here at our Hyatt House/ Hyatt Place Charleston Historic District, they may also utilize the hotel offered Valet parking.
- How do we get around Downtown if we are holding / attending an event at Sterling Hall?How do we get around Downtown if we are holding / attending an event at Sterling Hall? We do have a complimentary downtown shuttle service that has a pick up right across the street from Sterling Hall. This shuttle service is operated by the City / Charleston CVB and completes a circle path around downtown, stopping at key points of interest. There are also plenty of pedi-cabs in the area that make for a fun, more adventurous way to get around. We also always recommend Uber.
